Kylie Lipkit Review: Posie K

Tuesday 10 May 2016

Ever since Kylie Jenner released lipkits everyone and their uncle has been trying to get their hands on them. There have been countless reviews and I thought I would add mine to the mix.

After missing out the first time I had tried to order Posie K (I had it in my basket and everything.) I spent awhile deliberating whether it was worth it to order.

Sephora Makeup Haul

Thursday 3 March 2016

I recently went to New York City for a girls holiday. This meant seeing sights, going out for food and of course shopping!

We were all very excited about Sephora as we don't have any stores currently in the UK.
I saved up my pennies knowing this would be the one shop I would go a tad crazy in! So i thought I would share with you all my haul:

The 'Tartlette in Bloom Palette' from Tarte Cosmetics.
This palette is so stunning! I avoided it to begin with as I own far too much eyeshadow, but it was calling to me and eventually I could not resist.
The shadows are mostly matte with a few shimmers, they are all so creamy, pigmented and easy to use.
My current favourites are:
Rebel (Matte) - A dusty rose shade
Leader (Matte) - A aubergine shade (great alternative crease colour.)
Firecracker (shimmer) - This is an coral/pink shimmer shade ever so pretty!

The 'Shade and Light Palette' from Kat Von D Beauty. I knew I wanted this before we had even arrived. Contouring is something I want to get into and this palette has had great reviews!
The top row are your highlighting shades and the bottom row consists of the sculpting shades.
I have really pale skin and these powders go really well with my skin tone! When can we have Kat Von D cosmetics in the UK!?

Also from Kat Von D beauty I got this mini ink liner trio it comes with three different colours:
- Trooper (Black)
- Baudelaire (a Navy Blue)
- Hemingway (Brown)

I swatched the black liner on my hand in store and it stayed on there for at least 3 days! I was a sucker for the navy blue shade so this mini kit was ideal!

The final purchase from Kat Von D beauty was the 'Everlasting Liquid Lipstick' in the shade 'Lolita II' this shade is such a pretty coral/nude and it really does last!

Next up from NARS was a blush in the shade 'orgasm' I've heard so much hype around this blush and that it suits almost everybody so into my basket it went.

All the products below were purchased on advice from the person that served me in Sephora. I was looking for a foundation with a fuller coverage that would be fine on my dry skin. From this conversation I ended up with two primers, a foundation and  a powder.

The two primers I got were both from Smashbox one was the 'Primer Water' and the other the 'Primer Oil'. The oil I would use underneath the foundation as it would help with my dry skin and not cause breakouts and the primer water would be used as a setting spray of sorts.

Next the Foundation which I got from Make Up Forever HD. I have only tried this on in store so far, I can't bring myself to use it just yet as it's so new! I will give you all an update of whether it is worth a purchase.

Finally the only product I got from the Sephora range was this powder in clair/light which I am supposed to use on top of the foundation to complete the look.

So there you have my Sephora haul, as you can see I went a tad crazy but it was all so pretty!
Have you been to Sephora before? What were your favourite products?

What would you buy if we had Sephora in the UK?

Thanks for Reading!!

My Belated November Favourites

Friday 4 December 2015

Thought I would share with you guys some of my favourites from November it's abit late I know!

So lets call this a belated November Favourites.

Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette.
Not the best quality picture in the world but I am in love with this palette. Ever since I brought it I have been treating it with awe! There are so many bright colours to create any kind of statement eye look you could imagine!
This would make a fantastic Christmas present for any make up lover!

Lush: Lord of Misrule Bath Bomb

Monday 2 November 2015

This will be my last Halloween-y type post I swear! I had a little Lush haul the other week and picked up a Lord of Misrule Bath Bomb.
I had seen a lot of people raving about this online and that it was a Halloween special (sidenote: I LOVE Halloween.) So naturally I had to pick one of these up.

The scent is a mixture of Patchouli, Vanilla and Black Pepper and it is very addictive. The exterior of the Bath Bomb is green and this is what happens when you put it in the bath:

It comes out in a mixture of green and red and then eventually just turns a blood red colour. The perfect Halloween themed bath bomb!
I was also happy that this did not stain the bath as I had used the Cinders bath bomb previously which smelled very nice but looked a very non-appealing colour when used and stained the bath!

Has anyone else used this bath bomb if so what did you think? What are your favourite products from the Lush Halloween and Christmas collection?

Cohorted October Box Review

Thursday 29 October 2015

Better late than never here is my review of the October Cohorted box.
This was the first beauty box I have had from Cohorted and I managed to get it before they changed the boxes to subscription so this box was £20.

The new boxes they do now are £35 pound a month subscription there is the black box which is typically make up and the white box which is perfumes you can check these out here.

The October box has a value of £65.99 and this is what was in it:

Ciate Nailpolish in Serendipity RRP: £9.00
This is a glittery red colour which would make a great top coat over another colour.
I imagine around Christmas time this will be the perfect colour to put over a red or black nail polish.

Bare Minerals Purely Nourishing Cream 30ml RRP: £10.00
This cream has a very lightweight feel and as I suffer from very dry skin this will be perfect.

Bare Minerals Purifying Facial Cleanser 60ml RRP: £15.00
I haven't used this product yet and I was abit gutted upon finding this in the box as I had just bought the Benefit Foaming Facial Cleanser the day before!

Peter Thomas Roth Lashes To Die For Mascara RRP: £15.00
You can never have too many mascaras that is all I will say. This Mascara has a thing brush so if you want volume you will need to layer it with a Mascara with a thick brush.

Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Hypnotist RRP: £16.99
Another one I have not tried however I did swatch it on my hand and this really is a strange colour. It changes in the light and is a peachy pink colour. Not sure where I would wear this but it is a very interesting colour.

Overall my opinion of the box was a positive one but I was disappointed that 3 of the 5 products were from the same brand. I had seen previous boxes that had alot more variety of brands and this box didn't inspire me to subscribe to the new higher price boxes.

However it definitely was value for money and there are some great everyday products in there.

What did you all think of the October box? Have you subscribed to any of the new boxes?
