February TBR List

January was a busy month for me reading wise (see my wrap up) and I am aiming to keep this momentum going into February!

Therefore I am setting an optimistic TBR List for February. The titles I hope to get through include:

Love Your Life - Sophie Kinsella

Ava is sick of online dating, so when she signs up for a writing retreat in Italy love is the last thing on her mind. Until of course she meets a handsome stranger, he's equally smitten with her and after a whirlwind romance they pledge their love without even knowing each others names!

After returning home reality hits and they are both driven mad by each others weird quirks and annoying habits. As disaster follows disaster it seems that while they love each they just can't love each others lives. Can they overcome their differences to find one life together?

A Court of Mist and Fury - Sarah J Maas

Feyre returns to the Spring Court after escaping Amarantha's clutches - but at a steep cost. While her body is now High Fae her heart remains human and she is struggling with the terrible deeds she committed to save Tamlin and his people.

She has also not forgotten her bargain with the mesmerising Rhysand head of the Night Court. While Feyre navigates the political games and tantalising promises a great evil is looming - and she might be the key to stopping it.

However only if she can heal from her wounds and step into her greater power. Can she have the courage to shape her own future - and the future of a world cloven in two?

The Queen of Nothing - Holly Black

Jude Duarte finds herself unmoored after becoming Queen of Faerie and then abruptly exiled by the wicked king Cardan - making her the queen of nothing. She spends her time with Vivi and Oak watching reality TV and doing odd jobs including squaring up to a cannibalistic faerie.

Jude jumps at the chance to return return to the land of Faerie when her twin sister Taryn shows up asking for a favour. Even if this means facing Cardan, who she loves despite his betrayal. After a dark curse is unveiled Jude must become the first mortal queen of Faerie and break the curse or risk disrupting the balance of Faerie forever.

Throne of Glass - Sarah J Maas

Celaena Sardothien. Beautiful. Deadly. Destined for Greatness!

An Eighteen year old girl is serving a life sentence in the dark filthy salt mines of Endovier. She is a trained assassin, best of her kind, however she made a fatal mistake - she got caught.

She is offered a deal from young Captain Westfall, her freedom for one huge sacrifice. She must represent the Prince in a to-the-death tournament fighting the most gifted thieves and assassins in the land. Live or die, she will be free. Win or lose, she is about to discover her true destiny but will her assassin's heart be melted?

A Darker Shade of Magic - V.E. Schwab

Most people only know one London but what if there were several?

Kell is one of the last great travellers - Magicians with the power to travel between parallel London's. There's Grey London, home to mad King George III, dirty, crowded and without magic. Red London where life and magic are revered. Then White London, ruled by whoever has murdered their way to the throne. However once upon a time there was Black London...

Shadow and Bone - Leigh Bardugo

Alina Starkov is a soldier who knows she may not survive her first trek across the shadow fold - a swath of unnatural darkness crawling with monsters. However when her regiment is attacked Alina unleashes dormant magic she was not aware she possessed.

Now she will enter a world of elite and royalty as she trains with the Grisha, the country's magical military, while falling under the spell of their notorious leader the Darkling.

He believes Alina can destroy the Shadow Fold reuniting their war-ravaged country, but only if she can master her gift!

As the threat to the kingdom mounts and Alina unlocks secrets from her past, she will make a dangerous discovery that could threaten all she loves and the future of the nation.
